About Me
My Story
- I started learning piano aged 7 and violin aged 10
- I passed all grades I to VIII (Associated Board) on both, with many distinctions and merits
- I started teaching music at the age of 16 to a few local children
- I read Music at Bretton Hall College (Leeds University) where I also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (P.G.C.E), specialising in Music
- I taught in Primary Schools in Yorkshire and Hertfordshire for several years, specialising
in Music for most of that time

- PGCE (Primary, Music)
Experience
- Over 25 years teaching experience including individual, group and whole classes, children aged 2 upwards and adults.
- Previous member of numerous musical ensembles over the years including orchestras, choirs, Ceilidh groups, Early Music group, Handbell ringing, Steel Pan group and recorder group!
- Current member of City of Cambridge Brass Band. I also enjoy playing viola, violin and cello with friends.
